Creating Housing and Housing Services Programs
This section describes current models for creating housing and housing services programs developed by NPO’s and service organizations in California. Generally, current housing activities comprise three categories:
- Housing development, that is, increasing the stock of affordable housing through set-asides, scattered site acquisition, new construction, and pooled trusts;
- Providing housing services that educate, advocate, inform, and assist people to locate and maintain housing; and
- Property management relating to repairs and maintenance of real estate owned by NPO’s.
