Introduction

There is agreement among regional centers, ARCA, Department of Developmental Services, parents, and people with developmental disabilities that we want a future in which people have affordable, decent homes and paying jobs in a community of their choosing, and are able to self-advocate in the system for better services and supports. Therefore, the goal of ARCA is to enhance the lives of people with developmental disabilities by further promoting the expansion of affordable housing, job opportunities, and a system that listens to the people we serve.

In order to advance the goals and intent of federal and state initiatives, ARCA has developed the Employment, Housing, and Mental Health Initiatives, crafted to help create a better future for people with developmental disabilities.
